Recently I got to photograph a beautiful event that I know not much about - Quinceanera. For Hispanic girls the 15th birthday marks the most amazing celebration of their lives.
I arrived at the girl's house where the whole family was getting ready. I started right away capturing moments. There was not even a minute that I stopped because I wanted to capture everything, their smiles, details, and relative's happy faces.
Right after we left the house we went straight to the reception hall. While quests were gathering I took the girl and went to capture more portraits of her beauty. We found some balloons and went on an empty road where I asked her to twirl around and walking back and forth so I could capture a lot of her red princess dress.
Meanwhile, the reception venue was all decorated and full of quests. The entrance was AMAZING, music played and guests clapped. Parents were walking their PRINCESS who is becoming an adult. Dad invited her for their first dance and mom followed it after. Colors, laughs, light, and music were heard even behind closed doors. No one interrupted the party. After a few more traditions everyone got in a circle and danced I left after 4 hours and driving home for another hour I still kept my smile on my face. What a beautiful tradition they carry. Happy 15th birthday Viktoria.
